Ferguson announces the acquisition of Equarius in an asset transaction completed March 2015

Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. (Ferguson), a leader in the U.S. waterworks industry, announces the acquisition of Equarius, Inc. (Equarius) in an asset transaction completed March 9, 2015.  Post-acquisition, the company will operate as Equarius Waterworks, Meter & Automation Group, a Ferguson enterprise.  Management and all employees will remain with the business.

Equarius is the exclusive Neptune Meter distributor for the State of California.  It serves the California water utility industry through direct sales to municipalities and special water districts, in addition to the sub-metering market with sales to wholesalers, contractors, universities, and other government agencies.

“Ferguson is focused on growing our waterworks footprint in the West,” said Ferguson CEO Frank Roach. “Equarius is a great company and we are excited to have them on-board to expand our metering business in California.”

“Equarius is excited about becoming part of the much larger Ferguson family, and we look forward to offering even more products and services to our customer base,” said Equarius President Eric Tracy.

Ferguson Waterworks, the second largest company in the Waterworks industry, supplies products and services to support water, sanitary sewer and storm water management needs.  With a coast-to-coast network of 194 Waterworks locations and 1,600 technically trained Waterworks associates, Ferguson is able to handle the large range of projects the Waterworks industry demands with unmatched customer service, on-time delivery, and industry leading fill rates.
