Ferguson awards 10 scholarships

"We are inspired by this next generation of citizens and look forward to seeing their future contributions to society.”

Ten exceptional students have been named Ferguson Scholars and will receive $1,500 scholarships each year, for up to four years, to help with their trade school or college tuition. The recipients, all children of Ferguson associates, are well-rounded and academically focused. Each made excellent grades, volunteered in their local communities in numerous ways and were active to stay healthy.

Seven high school students and three college students, spanning seven states, comprise Ferguson’s Class of 2018.

“We are honored to award our associates’ children with scholarship dollars and support their continuing education,” explained Melissa Hazelwood, Ferguson Cares Manager. “Each recipient demonstrates unwavering character, tremendous leadership and certainly a determination to succeed. We are inspired by this next generation of citizens and look forward to seeing their future contributions to society.”

The Ferguson Scholarship Fund was established in 2008 and has awarded more than $400,000 to nearly 100 students during the decade.
