Ferguson CEO Murphy included in Virginia Business' first annual Power List

Virginia Business magazine publishes the inaugural edition of the Virginia 500 — The 2020 Power List and includes Kevin Murphy in the Retail & Wholesale List. The power list showcases 20 categories featuring the state’s top business leaders.

The list was compiled based on annual revenue, newsworthiness, community involvement, diversity, number of employees (in Virginia and worldwide) and how large a presence the organization has in the commonwealth. The majority of this list was assembled by staff research, based on Virginia Business knowledge and publicly available sources such as the Fortune 500 and Inc. 5000 lists, annual reports, earnings reports, media articles and news releases.

Virginia Business also sent electronic surveys to about 750 business people for the Virginia 500, asking for data such as educational background, civic involvement, company revenue and staffing information.
