Ferguson donates more than 60,000 meals

Associates give back to the community through the company’s sixth annual Feed the Need Campaign

More than 15 million households in America are considered food insecure, meaning they do not know where their next meal is going to come from. According to Feeding America, this staggering statistic includes nearly 13 million children.

At Ferguson we believe it takes a community to feed a community and our associates proved why they are the true meaning of Ferguson Cares. For the sixth straight year, associates in over 300 locations across the country participated in the company’s Feed the Need campaign and rallied to donate more than 60,000 meals to our neighbors in need.

The company’s Distribution Center in Richland, Washington, topped all Ferguson locations with its 14,571 pounds of food and $1,000 in cash donations. In total, Richland associates provided more than 16,000 meals for their community and received an additional $5,000 grant from the company to donate to its partner charity, Tri Cities Foodbank.

The company’s Shared Purchasing Center and Regional Quotations Center in Nashville, Tenn., donated 7,546 pounds to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and was awarded $5,000 for its community partner, while associates in Lakewood, New Jersey, collected nearly 7,000 pounds of food for The People’s Pantry and Signature Hardware associates amassed 1,954 pounds for Childhood Food Solutions. Both locations received additional grants from Ferguson of $2,000 and $1,000, respectively.

The campaign aligns with Ferguson’s mission to strengthen the communities where its associates live and work. Associates annually participate and support more than 100 different nonprofit organizations across the United States.
